Imagery

What is imagery?: Imagery is a kind of figurative language that uses discriptive words that are used to evoke the 5 senses.
Example: The cold, tile floor left my feet feeling frozen and sent a series of sharp chills up and down my backbone.
Why do we have imagery?: we use it to be able to connect to what we already have seen, heard, etc...
